Feeling tired? Suspect an underactive thyroid or adrenal gland?

An Holistic Approach to Thyroid Disorders and Adrenal Fatigue/Burnout in NJ

Often someone will call our office saying that they think they may have a problem with their adrenal or thyroid gland, stating further that their primary care doctor has tested them and said they were fine. Yet, they remain unconvinced, as they still have symptoms such as:

  • Depressed or irritable mood
  • Panic attacks
  • Anxiety
  • Cold hands & feet
  • Brittle nails
  • Frequent colds
  • Menstrual irregularities
  • Palpitations

Proper glandular function cannot be investigated accurately with one or two blood tests alone. To fully evaluate a patient for hypothyroid and or hypoadrenal function, all of these factors must be assessed:

  • Ability of the glands to produce thyroid hormones properly
  • Ability of the body to absorb essential nutrients needed to support hormones
  • Receptivity of the body’s tissues to the hormones
  • Function of the associated glands
  • Body levels of toxic metals and yeast
  • Stress levels
  • Amount of rest and adequacy of nutrition
  • Presence of autoimmune disease of the thyroid gland

To truly understand the function of theses all-important glands, you need to seek out a physician who addresses all of these factors in her assessment.
